History
Early Autumns was established in 1984. Our first location
was in a beautiful duplex by "Boomer Lake". To meet
our demands we expanded to Couch Park in 1987 with 12 residents.
We expanded again in 1991 and today we are licensed for 22
residents.
Our Well Trained Staff
Training begins the first day a new staff member is employed.
Our owner, Sharral L. Tye has developed the Training in Place
(TiP) program, which is being used in residential care and
assisted living centers across Oklahoma to train direct caregivers.
It is a 45-hour training program that includes the knowledge
Sharral has gained in working in Residential Assisted Living
since 1984. Much of the training is presented in an interactive
computer format. The program--designed to meet residential assisted living
curriculum requirements--was developed by individuals with
13 years of experience in residential assisted living, and
has been reviewed by authorities from many health-related
fields
In addition, all the staff is trained in CPR and First Aid,
and has at least 8 hours annual continuing education in their
field. Early Autumns has a manager, Lynn Bradley in addition
to Sharral Tye, who is the owner and administrator. Early
Autumns exceeds DOH staffing requirements. We are especially
proud of a staff position called a "Goalie". These
staff members seek out residents who need special attention
to meet physical therapy or socialization goals. They also
present an activity each evening called "The Main Event."
